You need to take care of your voice. For that, the easiest step you can take is drinking a lot of water and keeping your vocal cords hydrated.

Keep your neck muscles relaxed. We are talking about sternocleidomastoids. If it is relaxed, your voice is going to be deep.

You can also try diaphragmatic breathing. Basically, you breathe using your belly. Or try to talk straight from the diaphragm.

Speaking slowly also helps you in getting a deeper voice.

You can aspirate as well. That means you need to exhale while speaking.

Here’s a trick. Even if you are not very good in a specific language, work on it, and try your best to subjugate it. For example, it will get you better projects if you try hindi voice over than English. The number of people who speak English will be greater. So the competition will be tight.

In my opinion, one needs to search for jobs where there is low competition. It is a trick but a good one.

But before that, you need to work on yourself. Suppose you are interested in mastering the punjabi voice over. Join a coaching class, even if it is your mother tongue. You will have to learn more about the language, its pronunciation, accent, and tone.

After a certain period when you think you are good at it, create a voice over demo. The demo always needs to be your best performance. So, unless you think it’s perfect, try making the perfect one.
